According to multiple sources, the news was kept so secret that no one gave anyone in the ring a head’s up that Stephanie McMahon was coming out to the ring, and the news was only known by a handful of people.
It was said that the women in the ring had geniune surprise reactions to the news, and the production team was even kept out of the loop so the match announcement wouldn’t be leaked early.
