Alexia Nicole, a 21-year-old wrestler from Toronto, Ontario, Canada who has wrestled since 2013 for various independent promotions in both Canada and the United States, is confirmed for the tryout.
Nicole often tag teamed and wrestled with current NXT star Aliyah before she joined WWE in 2015. They started training together in 2011 in an all women's class led by former TNA star Taylor Wilde at Squared Circle Training in Toronto and both made their wrestling debut in 2013.
- During yesterdays NXT conference call with Triple H ahead of NXT Takeover Philidelphia on Saturday, he was asked a variety of questions, including if The Iconic Duo – Billie Kay and Peyton Royce would be called up soon.
He said he doesn’t think the duo are far away from being called up to the main roster. That it’s about “building reps” and having time to bring it to the next level. When the time is right, it will happen and they will smash the opportunity as he believes they’ll be able to wow fans in Australia for many years when they return home.
