Paige's WWE Future, Ember Moon and Nia Jax Comment on Their Win

Paige's WWE Future, Ember Moon and Nia Jax Comment on Their Win
- Below is video of Mike Rome talking to Ember Moon and RAW Women's Champion Nia Jax after their win over Mickie James and Alexa Bliss on RAW.

Jax says she is happy and had no doubt that Moon would come in to wow the crowd and slay their opponents. Regarding her call-up from WWE NXT, Moon says it's like a dream come true and she's just excited to start a new path here on RAW. Moon says her biggest regret about NXT is that she left Women's Champion Shayna Baszler with the rest of the division but she knows they're strong and that they will dethrone her.

- As noted, Paige officially announced her in-ring retirement on last night's RAW during an in-ring segment. PWInsider reports that this was Paige's final scheduled appearance on WWE TV. No word yet on what will happen to Absolution with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville now but Paige will remain on the Total Divas cast and will be a big part of the promotional push for WWE Studios' "Fighting With My Family" movie. It's been expected that WWE would keep Paige around in some fashion, possibly as a coach at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

Speaking of Paige, she thanks everyone on Twitter for the outpouring of support that she's received following announcing her retirement on last night's RAW.

"Completely overwhelmed with the love and support," Paige wrote. "Thank you everyone. Seriously means so much to me. This isn't the end though. Just the beginning of something special."

Paige, 25, had returned to action last November after a seventeen month absence due to a neck injury she suffered in June of 2016. She was injured a month later at a RAW live event at the Nassau Coliseum. Paige was teaming with Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville against Sasha Banks, Bayley & Mickie James. Paige took a kick to the back from Banks and dropped to the canvas. Paige struggled to get to her feet before falling to the mat, causing the referee to throw up the "X" injury signal and stop the match. A stretcher was brought out, however she was able to walk to the back with the help of the doctors.

After getting checked by WWE doctors in January, she was told that she would not be able to return to the ring, although she didn't make her official announcement until Monday night.
