SmackDown Women’s Title Match Set For WWE Backlash

One night after announcing their Raw Women’s Championship for Backlash, the WWE has officially added their SmackDown Women’s Championship match as Carmella will defend the title against Charlotte Flair.

Renee Young overlooked contract signing for the title rematch. She first introduced Carmella to the ring. As Young got ready to bring out Flair, Carmella grabbed Young’s mic to address the lack of respect she’s received from the WWE Universe since becoming the SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Carmella replays a highlight reel from last week’s Mellabration and demands to receive a standing ovation for it this time around. When she doesn’t get it, Carmella orders for the highlight reel to be played again but this time it gets cut short when Flair comes out.
