No other details were given but we have a good idea what the announcement could be. As we noted weeks ago, WWE was considering running an all-women’s pay-per-view in the United States. This was planned around the time of the Greatest Royal Rumble pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia and the idea is that this show would make up for the women being excluded because of the customs in the country.
WWE has put more effort into giving the women more focused storylines because they know that their biggest mainstream star is a woman. There has been talk of women headlining a future WrestleMania, possibly as soon as next year’s show with Rousey taking on Charlotte Flair.
