Charlotte Wins The Smackdown Women's Title, Becky Lynch Turns Heel
Charlotte Flair won a Triple Threat over Becky Lynch and Carmella to become the new SmackDown Women's Champion at tonight's WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view, ending Carmella’s 131-day reign with the belt.

Charlotte captured the title after hitting Becky Lynch with the Natural Selection whilst she had Carmella in the Dis-Arm-Her submission hold.

This marks Charlotte’s third reign with the belt and her eight title win in WWE having held the NXT Women’s championship once, the RAW Women’s Championship 4 times and the WWE Divas Championship once.

The post-match angle saw Charlotte and Becky remaining in the ring. After the match was over, the two shared a moment, and then Lynch handed Flair her championship and gave her a big hug.

Then Lynch suddenly threw a huge forearm into Flair’s face and beat her around the ring. She hurled Flair into the barricade and then tossed Flair over the announce table. The announce team really put over Lynch’s new change of heart at the same time while discussing how her frustration hit a boiling point.

As Lynch left, the Brooklyn crowd chanted “you deserve it” at a beaten up but newly crowned SmackDown Women’s Champion.
