Natalya was supposed to turn heel on Ronda Rousey, but the idea was scrapped weeks ago due to a tragedy in Nattie’s personal life as she lost her father Jim ‘The Anvil’ Neidhart.
It is reported that the belief backstage in WWE was that after her father’s passing, they felt that they couldn’t turn her heel anymore and so they went back to the Nia Jax idea to face Rousey. Natalya was actually supposed to turn on Ronda Rousey about now in their storyline in fact, but it looks like WWE changed their mind due to the timing.
