After overcoming her toughest challenge yet in Nia Jax and getting revenge on Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey craves a new fight. Rousey was itching to prove how much of a ‘real champion’ she was and proposed an open challenge of her own against anyone in the Women’s Division. The entire division would bark at the production team in Gorilla position until Stephanie McMahon would demand them to follow her to the entrance ramp.
With the entire Women’s Division in tow, Stephanie McMahon said that she was no longer playing favorites and was going to give the women an opportunity. So she booked a gauntlet match with the winner facing Rousey next week on the Christmas Eve edition of Monday Night RAW.
In a match that featured Bayley, Alicia Fox, Mickie James, Dana Brooke, Ember Moon, and Ruby Riott, Natalya and Sasha Banks were the last two women in the gauntlet. Natalya had to win two matches before facing ‘The Boss’ and in a back-and-forth contest, Natalya would prevail in the 52-minute gauntlet, making Sasha tap out to the Sharpshooter.
The RAW Women’s Champion would walk down to the ring and embrace Natalya for her victory, Showing respect to her friend, Rousey reminded her that friendship will be put to the side as long as the Women’s Championship is in contention.
