Lynch sent her full force into the leg drop off of a ladder, but she miscued her placement a little bit and ended up crushing Flair’s body instead.
Some fans thought the worst had happened during that spot because internal injuries can be a thing, especially in a human demolition derby like a TLC match.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio said that Charlotte Flair is okay after the TLC match, but did have the wind knocked out of her in the spot.
Speaking of the interference from Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, it was only made to build future storylines and to sell she has a history with both Flair and Lynch. Meltzer confirmed that Rousey did not turn heel by assisting Asuka in picking up the title victory.
While most of the attention is currently on Asuka after she captured the SmackDown Women’s Championship last night, a lot of fans are already curious to see who her first challenger will be – and it seems as if Sonya Deville has inserted herself into the running.
Deville issued the following challenge and put her name forward as a possible contender to take on the new champion:
First off congrats to the new champ @WWEAsuka well deserved! BUT correct me if I’m wrong, a few weeks ago I went toe to toe wit Asuka to be the last two remaining in the battle royal to qualify for that match last night... I want Asuka! Let’s go champ— Daria Berenato (@SonyaDevilleWWE) December 17, 2018
