Kairi Sane Named NXT Competitor Of The Year, Zelina Vega Shows Up at TakeOver

- Zelina Vega showed up at tonight’s NXT TakeOver: Phoenix event to collect the Match of The Year Award on behalf of Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas. Andrade was awarded the honor (along with Johnny Gargano) for their match at NXT Takeover: Philadelphia.

Vega interrupted Gargano, who attempted to collect the awards himself, “The reason that match was Match of the Year was because Andrade was in it. You didn’t even win. Your ego it getting out of control.” Vega then declared 2019 the ‘Year of tranquillo.’

- Kairi Sane was named both NXT Female Competitor of the Year and NXT Overall Competitor of The Year. Sane was teary eyed and expressed gratitude, “Are you sure? This made my day.” Sane then predicted that she would, once again, become NXT Women’s Champion in 2019.
