More Names Announced For The Women’s Royal Rumble Match

Several WWE stars have been added to the women’s Royal Rumble match at the first pay-per-view event of the new year for the company. The official website of WWE confirmed that the following stars will be participating in the match:

Bayley, Sasha Banks, Ember Moon, Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, Liv Morgan.

They join Natalya and Carmella. WWE will be announcing more competitors for this contest in the coming weeks.

Thirty female Superstars from Raw and SmackDown LIVE will fight for the opportunity at sports-entertainment immortality when the 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble Match invades the award-winning WWE Network on Sunday, Jan. 27, at 7 ET/4 PT. The winner of the massive melee will go on to challenge for a World Championship at WrestleMania 35.

History was made history last year when Asuka won the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble Match. The high-stakes free-for-all will start with two competitors, and Superstars enter the ring at equal intervals. This continues until all 30 Superstars have entered the bout. Elimination occurs when a Superstar is thrown over the top rope, and both feet hit the floor. The last Superstar in the ring will be declared the victor.

The inaugural women’s Royal Rumble match was won by Asuka last year that saw her make the trip to WrestleMania 34 where she was ultimately unsuccessful in her championship bout against Charlotte Flair.

The Royal Rumble pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, January 27, 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona at Chase Field.
