WWE has already confirmed that Flair's title will not be on the line when she faces Becky Lynch and RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey in the WrestleMania 35 main event, so there will not be a title unification match. Unless something changes in the next week or so, she will be carrying that title into the WrestleMania main event, but she will not be defending. Rousey is the only champion defending in that match.
Shortly after Charlotte got Asuka to tap out with a Figure Eight, other WWE superstars took to Twitter to congratulate and bemoan the new champion. As seen below, Flair also praised Asuka:
This one means a lot. #8. Thank you @WWEAsuka; The most talented woman I’ve ever shared the ring with. π€‘ πΈπΌ pic.twitter.com/f8tnk8HmIo— Charlotte Flair (@MsCharlotteWWE) March 27, 2019

Damn…ALL the sacrifices made for this match to happen…I hope it’s all worth it. Two women have earned this opportunity and one still doesn’t even get it. https://t.co/ls7oRTDH3D— πΊ (@NiaJaxWWE) March 27, 2019
She did less to earn that title shot than the Wrestlemania one. Asuka deserves so much better.— The Man (@BeckyLynchWWE) March 27, 2019
